Pre-season and friendlies

On 25 April, Walsall announced their first pre-season friendly, against Aston Villa.[32] A month later, the club confirmed a further two pre-season matches, against Alvechurch and Tamworth.[33] A trip to Ireland was also confirmed, along with a fixture versus Drogheda United.[34] On June 3, a fifth fixture was added, versus Solihull Moors.[35] Over a week later, a visit from Birmingham City was also added.[36]
