Jontavious Braylon Sanders (born January 21, 1999) is an American professional football wide receiver . He played college football at Ole Miss .
Early life
Sanders was born and raised in Hogansville, Georgia , and played high school football at Callaway High School.[ 1] He committed to play college football at Ole Miss on February 1, 2017.[ 2]
Professional career
Miami Dolphins
Sanders was signed by the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2022, shortly after the conclusion of the 2022 NFL draft .[ 5] He was waived by the Dolphins on August 30, and re-signed to the practice squad.[ 6] [ 7] In Week 7 against the Detroit Lions , Sanders made his NFL debut, catching two passes for 17 yards but also losing a fumble.[ 8] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 16, 2023.[ 9]
On August 29, 2023, Sanders was waived by the Dolphins and re-signed to the practice squad.[ 10] [ 11] He signed a reserve/future contract on January 15, 2024.[ 12]
Sanders was waived/injured by the Dolphins on August 27, 2024, and placed on injured reserve.[ 13] He was waived on September 4.[ 14]
New England Patriots
On October 29, 2024, Sanders was signed to the New England Patriots practice squad.[ 15]
