Bryan Levell
Bryan Levell (born 23 December 2003) is a Jamaican sprinter. He became Jamaican champion over 200 metres in 2024.[1] Early lifeHe attended Edwin Allen High in Frankfield, Jamaica.[2][3] CareerHe was a silver medalist in the 4x100m relay at the 2021 World Athletics U20 Championships in Nairobi.[4] He finished sixth in the 200 metres final at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia.[5] He was a silver medalist in the 4x100m relay at the championships.[6] Despite missing part of 2023 with injury,[7] he turned professional in 2023 to be coached by Shanikie Osbourne in Kingston, Jamaica.[8] He ran as part of the Jamaican 4x100m relay team which qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics at the 2024 World Relays Championships in Nassau, Bahamas.[9][10] Competing at the Jamaican national championships in June 2024, he won the 200 metres title, running a personal best time of 19.97 seconds.[11] At the championships, he also lowered his personal best to 10.07 seconds for the 100 metres in the first qualifying heat.[12] In the semi-final, he broke the 10-second barrier for the first time, running 9.98 seconds. In the final, he finished in fourth place in a time of 10.04 seconds[13][14] He competed in the 200m at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he reached the semi-finals.[15][16] References
