EuroBasket Women 2025
The 2025 Women's European Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2025, is the 40th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. It will be held in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Greece from 18 to 29 June 2025. This will be the first FIBA Women's EuroBasket to be hosted by four countries. The top six teams will qualify for one of the qualifying tournaments for the 2026 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup joining Germany who automatically qualified as host. On 7 September 2023, FIBA announced that the Czech Republic (Brno[6]), Germany (Hamburg[7]), Greece (Piraeus)[8] and Italy (unknown city) will host the tournament. Each country will host a group and the final round is scheduled to take place in Athens, Greece.[9] Bologna was selected as the host city for Italy on 11 December 2023, while on the same day, the final round was relocated from Athens to Piraeus.[10][11] QualificationThe draw will take place on 19 September 2023. VenuesThe tournament will be played in four venues in four cities. One venue will be used in one country each. The preliminary matches are scheduled to be held in Brno, Hamburg, Bologna and Piraeus. The final round was to be played in the Greek capital, Athens, but was changed to the port city, Piraeus, instead.
DrawThe draw will take place in 8 March 2025 in Piraeus, Greece.[16] Before the draw, in May 2024, the allocation of the groups were announced:
