"less than 45 years of age on 31 December of the year of the award and has conducted outstanding research in developing countries"[1]

Lecture and US$15,000 to support the research of the recipient[2]

The Prize is given with the provision that the prize money be used to support the research of the recipient. The winner will be invited to ICTP to receive the Prize and deliver a lecture.
