A three-year starter at the University of Notre Dame, Rochell's performance was strong his junior year but faded near the end of his senior year.[1] He recorded slightly fewer tackles but had a sack and ten quarterback hurries.[2] Rochell was noted for his consistency and work ethic even when the Fighting Irish were not finding success on the field.[3]
Rochell was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round (225th overall) in the 2017 NFL draft.[8] He was waived on September 13, 2017, and was re-signed to the practice squad.[9] He was promoted to the active roster on December 12, 2017.[10]
Rochell re-signed with the Chargers on April 21, 2020.[11]
On April 20, 2022, Rochell signed with the Cleveland Browns.[13] The Browns terminated Rochell's contract on August 31, 2022.[14] He was signed to the Browns' practice squad on September 1, 2022.[15] He was promoted to the active roster on September 21.[16] He was waived on November 12, 2022.[17] He was re-signed to the practice squad three days later.[18] He terminated his practice squad contract on December 28, 2022.[19]
Las Vegas Raiders
On December 28, 2022, Rochell signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, just hours after he terminated his practice squad contract with the Browns.[20][21]
On July 24, 2023, Rochell re-signed with the Raiders.[22] He was released on August 29, 2023, and re-signed to the practice squad.[23][24]
Rochell was elevated to the active roster for Week 1 game against the Denver Broncos and for Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills and then reverted to the practice squad the day after the game.[25][26] On September 23, 2023, Rochell was promoted to the active roster.[27] He was released on November 14.[28]
Personal life
Rochell is married to Allison Kucharczyk. She is a Tik Tok creator with 3.2 million followers. They have one daughter, Scottie Bee, born December 9, 2023.[29]
