American football player (born 2002)
Jack Bech (born February 18, 2002)[ 1] is an American college football wide receiver for the TCU Horned Frogs . He previously played for the LSU Tigers .
Early life
Bech attended St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette, Louisiana . He was rated as a four-star recruit [citation needed ] and held offers from schools such as LSU, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Texas, TCU, and Vanderbilt.[ 2] Initially, Bech committed to play college football for the Vanderbilt Commodores before flipping to the LSU Tigers .[ 3]
College career
LSU
As a freshman in 2021, Bech played in all 13 games for the Tigers while making seven starts, where he notched 43 receptions for 489 yards and three touchdowns.[ 4] In week 4 of the 2022 season, he hauled in six receptions for 43 yards in a win over New Mexico .[ 5] Bech finished the season with 16 receptions for 200 yards and a touchdown.[ 6] After the season, he entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal .[ 6]
TCU
Bech transferred to play for the TCU Horned Frogs .[ 7] In his first season with the Horned Frogs in 2023 he played in eight games, notching 12 receptions for 146 yards.[ 8]
On December 19, 2024, Bech announced that he would declare for the 2025 NFL draft .[ 9]
Personal life
Bech's older brother, former Princeton wide receiver Tiger Bech, was killed in the 2025 New Orleans truck attack .[ 10]
