American film producer
Jeremy Kleiner (born 1976/1977)[ 1] is an American film producer. He and his fellow producers won two Academy Awards for Best Picture for the 2013 film 12 Years a Slave and the 2016 film Moonlight .[ 2] Since 2013 he has served as the Co-President of Plan B Entertainment serving with Dede Gardner .[ 3]
Early life and education
Kleiner was born to a Jewish family[ 1] and is a 1998 graduate of Harvard University , where he won the Detur Book Prize, the Hoopes Prize and was elected Phi Beta Kappa .[ 4] [ 5] [ 6] [ 7]
Career
Kleiner worked as creative executive at Dick and Lauren Shuler Donner 's company. In 2003, he joined Plan B Entertainment where he worked his way up from creative executive to producer and then co-president in 2013.[ 8]
