He is the Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at the University of California, San Diego, and an Elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.[1][2][3] He is the director of the Neuropsychopharmacology Unit of the Veterans Administration Mental Illness Research, Clinical, and Education Center,[4] and the Associate Chief of Psychophysiology at the VA Center of Excellence for Stress and Mental Health.[5] References
