Tsunan Station (津南駅, Tsunan-eki) is a railway station in the town of Tsunan, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture, Japan operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). HistoryTsunan Station opened on 1 August 1927 as Echigo-Tomaru Station (越後外丸駅). It was renamed to its present name on 1 October 1968. With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.
