Comparison of rugby league and rugby unionThis is getting a bit ridiculous. I think we can agree that there is strong consensus not to have it in the lead, so continually putting it back in there is disruptive. If you want to create a suitable section where opinions can be presented I am open to discussing it at the talk page (I even started in that direction with one of my previous posts). My suggestion is that you self revert your recent change, otherwise I see little choice but to report the matter to WP:AN3. AIRcorn (talk) 03:45, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm not trying to be funny, but there is literally nothing for me to say that isn't already in Wikipedia's Guidlines. It's getting to the point where I'll have to simply start cutting & pasting their text onto that bloody talk page for you.--Gibson Flying V (talk) 09:08, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
The Thomsen quote is an opinion and so is the Ashton one. The mediums they are presented in are reliable enough for us to safely assume that the quotes are accurate. The people making the quotes are qualified to make such statements and each compares league and union. They are both as good, and as bad, as each other. If anything the Ashton quote is better as it is more recent. Gnevin is probably being a bit pointy, but he has demonstrated the problem with quoting opinions in an article like this. Dispute resolutionHello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is "Comparison of rugby league and rugby union". Thank you. --AIRcorn (talk) 06:41, 30 May 2012 (UTC) DisambiguationHi. The move of two Phil Jacksons disambiguated by their year of birth to instead disambiguate them by there position sets a bad precedent imo. Positions can change over a players career while the year of birth is a fact that will not change. I think such a change in practice should not be made without discussion at the project page. Can you remind me of a couple of names ? Hope you're well. See that you've been lately continuing to stir the pot as ever ! -Sticks66 11:57, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

I know in theory RL footballers are of either gender however I am not aware of any female RL footballers who are notable. Thoughts? Mattlore (talk) 02:59, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Chinese descent playersIf you want I can forward you the email sent to me by Ian Schubert from the NRL. There is a list of previous/current players from the NRL/NYC and we are setting up a national team for China to compete next year. Is there any way to verify it through email? anyway here is what was sent to me from ians@nrl.com.au https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/?ui=2&ik=6520685ce9&view=att&th=13a61827d7ff7f66&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P9pTKT5SKAlcnTiooxv7aTN&sadet=1350350639059&sads=Gd8ca6yqIoAtVY_HjWIx6qwdL2Q&sadssc=1 Youndbuckerz (talk) 01:26, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Here is what the list has given me; Player surname - Given Name - 2010/11/12/13 club - Contract type - Seasons covered in contract - Highest rep honors - Country born in - Country of Election - 1st parents heritage - 2nd parents heritage (if different from first) - Either grandparents heritage (if different from parents) - Other grandparents heritage (if different from parents or other grandparents).
(will finish later on) As you get my point there is proof that they are of Chinese descent and they are anyway (through grandparents/great grandparents) even if there is no source/website pointing it out so why don't you just let me add them to the relevant category? talk 02:07, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

However, there is a concern that the use of the image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. Details of this problem, and which specific criteria that the image may not meet, can be obtained by going to the image description page. If you feel that this image does meet those criteria, please place a note on the image description or talk page explaining why. Do not remove the {{di-fails NFCC}} tag itself. An administrator will review this file within a few days, and having considered the opinions placed on the image page, may delete it in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion or remove the tag entirely. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale. If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 21:11, 31 January 2013 (UTC) Brisbane meetup with Sue Gardner invitation
Hi there! You are cordially invited to a meetup on 11 February 2013 with Sue Gardner, Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation. More details can be found at Wikipedia:Meetup/Brisbane/7. I wasnt sure whether your Queenslander userbox implies that you're detained outside of Queensland, like myself. Anyway, if you are near Brisbane, I hope to see you there!
