DYK for Karl Bohnak

On 20 January 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Karl Bohnak, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that state representative Karl Bohnak, referring to his former profession, said that the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was one of the most challenging places in the U.S. to forecast the weather? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Karl Bohnak. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Karl Bohnak), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

A barnstar for you!

The Teamwork Barnstar
Thank you for working together at {{WikiProject U.S. Roads}}. I hope the result is not super ugly; it couldn't have happened without your input. Wishing you the best :) HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 23:19, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@HouseBlaster: thank you very much. It looks like a decent implementation to keep things as close to the way they used to be. Imzadi 1979  01:31, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article needs fixing. How can I do that? 12345678aasc (talk) 06:17, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Imzadi1979 let’s see if this works 12345678aasc (talk) 21:44, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@12345678aasc: first thing first, stop adding massive quantities of text into articles at once. Most of the additions you've been making to articles contains minutiae that should not be added. Second, you should strike to provide complete citations when you do add text. Lastly, you should be proofreading your additions to make an effort to have proper spelling, grammar and formatting.
Going forward, you should read through these articles and look at the details you've been adding and see what is really appropriate. History sections on highways should be confined to then-permanent changes to the physical configuration of a highway, which also includes the designations applied to the roadways. For example, if an interchange is rebuilt in a new configuration, we don't need overly specific details, just a basic summary: "The diamond interchange at Highway X was converted to a four-level stack interchange in 1995.[1]" We don't need a detailed account of every ramp that was added and when in most cases. Remember, we write for a general audience, not other roadgeeks. Imzadi 1979  22:19, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
