Zachary Peterson is an American professional basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Coaching career

Peterson began his coaching career in the NBA as a video intern and video coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks under head coach Mike Budenholzer.[1]

Peterson served as an assistant coach for the Germany men's national basketball team during EuroBasket 2017.[2]

In 2018, Peterson was hired as the head video coordinator for the Milwaukee Bucks under head coach Mike Budenholzer.

In 2019, Peterson joined the Oklahoma City Thunder as a player development coach under head coach Billy Donovan.

In 2022, Peterson was hired as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers under head coach Darvin Ham.

Peterson was fired from the Lakers after the departure of Ham as the Lakers head coach.[3]

In 2024, Peterson was hired as an assistant with the Charlotte Hornets under head coach Charles Lee.[4]
